Also included are school-, military-, and financial papers of Frieda’s father Hermann Frank, in addition to 3 marriage certificates for members of the Frank and Dahl families: Hermann Frank and Philippina Kahn, 1885; Bertha Blum and Nathan Kahn, 1892; and Josef Dahl and Frieda Kahn, 1919.

The collection contains correspondence, reminiscences, and published materials pertaining to the “Messingwerke“ metal company and its successor firms in Halberstadt, Germany. The file also includes personal documents pertaining to Joseph Hirsch (1809-1871); Jenny Wormser née Hirsch (1848-1916) and others.

The collection consists of memoirs and other manuscripts by David Feitelberg and other members of the Feitelberg-Hope families.

The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence between Howard and Jenny Hall, exchanged between 1943 and 1944. There is also correspondence documenting their efforts to bring their family members from Germany to the United States between 1939 and 1941. In addition, the collection contains the transcript and the translation of an interview, Howard Hall gave in Germany in 1996.

The bulk of the collection consists of extensive research notes for a history of the Saarland and Lorraine and their Jewish communities from the 14th century until 1938, with a notable gap for the 19th century.

Various writings - poetry, short stories, essays, etc. - of Ida Loewenson, who used the penname Ida Loefen. Also included are Loewinson family trees.

Correspondence, documents, cookbook.

This is a collection of clippings pertaining mostly to German-Jewish individuals, whose life, accomplishment, or death had been noteworthy enough to trigger the interest of an editor at a newspaper or a journal. From the 1960s to the end of the 20th century, archivists at the Leo Baeck Institute perused dailies, immigrants’ journals and periodicals of special interest groups in the United States, in Israel, in various European countries and beyond to discover traces of the scattered survivors of German-speaking Jewry. Birthday celebrations, special anniversaries and obituaries as well as reports about deeds and accomplishments were clipped from the publications and collected. Today, these clippings bear testimony of all these individuals’ lives and German speaking Jewry as a whole.

Three essays by Ingrid Decker are bound together into one illustrated typescript. They all report about Jewish German survivors of the Holocaust and their emigrations to Mexico and to the Dominican Republic.

The collection contains primarily biographical abstracts of Jewish personalities who were born in Eberbach. Also included are a few historic documents and a short glimpse at the history of the Jewish community in Eberbach.

The collection contains plays and poems by the writer Irma Erman, mainly reflecting on the plight of German Jewish refugees in Shanghai. Also included are poems by Carl Sandburg in German translation.

The collection contains various materials pertaining to Oskar Schüler, his wife Martha, and their daughter Irmgard Schüler.

Contains certified copies of various documents presented to the court and pertaining to the estate of Isaac de la Motta of Charleston, South Carolina. Included is a copy of a deed of sale for slaves owned by Sarah Canter de la Motta and witnessed by John Canter, and a copy of the ketubah, in Hebrew and also in translation, of Isaac de la Motta and Sarah Canter, signed by Levi Sheftall, Abraham De Lyon, Isaac Franks, Raphael Da Costa Amesquita, and Isaac de la Motta, with accompanying affadavits. It is unclear for what purpose these documents were prepared.

The collection contains mainly letters written to Isidor Popper before and during the German invasion of Czechoslovakia, asking for asylum in the United States. Also included are business records pertaining to Isidor Popper.

Letters addressed to Isidor Weisskopf, Feb. 1939 - Dec. 1940, from his relatives and other members of the Jewish community in Ratibor (today Racibórz, Poland) about their planned or successful emigration.

Correspondence and other documents collected and written by Hans Bach for the publication of his book about Jacob Bernays and the history of German Jewish intellectual life in the 19th century. Also included are autographs pertaining to Jacob Bernays and materials about his father, Rabbi Chacham Isaac Bernays.

The collection consists of various archival materials pertaining to the Jacoby family in Lychen (Brandenburg, Germany). In particular, it comprises citizenship papers and other vital documents as well as business ledgers from the 19th century. There is 20th century correspondence, mainly about genealogy, and clippings documenting conditions in Germany in 1934.

The collection contains the correspondence between Jakob Katz and his fiancée Gerti Birnbaum, and comprises 195 letters in seven folders. Katz's letters were written in Frankfurt, in Magyargencs (Hungary), and in London; Birnbaum's' letters were written in Kissingen, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Kreuznach, Berlin, Jerusalem, London, Frankfurt, and Tel Aviv. The earliest letter is dated July 1, 1933, and the last was written on February 18, 1936. Some letters are undated or appear to have been written by a third person.

The collection contains 37 letters and postcards written by Jakob Wassermann to family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances, covering a variety of topics, from the deeply personal (his negative feelings toward his wife), to the professional (the sale of his books), and to the mundane (his appreciation for the United States). Most letters are accompanied by typed transcripts.

The collection consists mainly of published and unpublished reminiscences about the author Jakob Wassermann by journalists and remote family mebers. Also included are two original autographs by Wassermann himself.
