Eugen Kullmann Collection
This collection holds papers of the philosopher Karl Joël and of various members of the Philippson family. Karl Joël's material includes personal and professional correspondence and a considerable amount of his notes, along with newspaper clippings on him and a few articles. Philippson family material largely focuses on Phöbus, Ludwig and Moritz Philippson's family correspondence and writing. Also present are letters of other family members, a few official documents and notes.
George Simon Spir Collection
The collection contains correspondence between George Simon Spir, serving in the Franco-Prussian War, and his family in Magdeburg. Included are eight field post letters, 105 letters, and 1 telegram from Spir to his family and 25 letters to Spir from family and friends. The second folder also contains a small notebook pertaining to Spir's service. The third folder contains a photocopy of a letter pertaining to George Simon Spir's grandfather Geoffroi Simon Spire's receipt of the Décoration du Lys; and family tree of the ancestors of George Simon Spir's father Albert Spir.

The collection includes short texts on Jewish history in Magdeburg and several minutes from the sessions of the ecumenical commission for regional Jewish history in Saxon-Anhalt. There is also an original poster assigning a man's pew seat to F. Falkenburg following payment for the same (1870).
