The Dolly Haas Family Collection documents the significant events in the lives of several Haas family members and it also contains some details of the early career of Dolly Haas. About half the collection consists of family correspondence. In addition there are a diary, wedding papers of Charles and Margarethe Haas, photographs, educational certificates of Dolly Haas and her sister Margarete, some articles, and various other family documents.

The collection contains diverse personal documents relating to Gertrude Pollatschek nee Maisel's war-time experiences including documents related to emigration including card from Antwerpsch Comiteit voor Joodsche Vluchtelingen, personal correspondence sent through German Red Cross, correspondence with American Consulate regarding visa, affadavits, photograph of actress Hilde Wegener and actor Otto Tessler, medical and tax certificates, ice cream recipes from Dr. Oetker.

Manuscripts, materials relating to HansKohn's professional experience, materials relating to his political activities, correspondence, diaries, materials relating to his experience in World War I and as a prisoner of war, personal documents, photos, clippings.

The Ida Ehre Collection contains material on the actress and theater director Ida Ehre. Much of the papers in this collection focus on her postwar work as director of the Hamburger Kammerspiele; biographical information on the actress is particularly evident, along with correspondence with her friend Liselotte Sperber. The collection is comprised of articles, newspaper clippings, Hamburger Kammerspiele programs, personal correspondence, obituaries and a few photographs.

This collection centers on the lives of Liselotte Sperber and her family members. The collection documents her early life and the major experiences that would shape it as well as the lives or significant life events of several family members, including her sister, parents, in-laws and daughter. The collection contains prolific correspondence, official and educational documents, childhood writings, copies of articles and newspaper clippings, and a few photographs.

This collection documents the medical career of Marczel Haas (1900-1979) through his education and occupational activities. Items pertaining to his education include Gymnasium transcripts, university enrollment books, matriculation certificates, and diplomas. Haas’s medical career is documented by correspondence pertaining to his medical license, letters of recommendation, contracts for positions at hospitals in Breslau and Cluj, offprints of medical articles written by Haas, and professional certificates, including his New York State medical license.

This collection consists mainly of correspondence sent from Berlin banker and businessman Walter Davidsohn to his wife, actress and writer Rahel Sanzara, in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The letters discuss the political, economic, and cultural state of Germany, France, and Switzerland at the time along with personal matters. In addition to the couple’s correspondence are letters from notable German writers and editors to Cleveland State University professor Klaus-Peter Hinze regarding the writer Ernst Weiss. Some of these letters discuss Weiss's relationship with Sanzara, who acted in productions of his dramas.
