Genealogical information and family trees on various families

Lists the descendants of Mordecai (b. 1735) and Sarah (Levy) Abrahams (b. 173?), who emigrated from Europe to Virginia in the 1700s.

The Albert Salomon Family Collection holds papers of several members of the Salomon family, especially sociologist Albert Salomon, his wife Anna Salomon, his aunt social reformer Alice Salomon, and his daughter Hannah Salomon Janovsky. Much of the collection consists of family photographs. Other prominent materials include correspondence of Hannah Janovsky on the preservation and publication of her family members' writings and articles on the life of Albert Salomon. A small amount of family papers and genealogical information is also present.

The Alfred and Elisabeth Mayer Family largely centers on the emigration from Germany of the extended members of this family as well as documentation of Alfred and Elisabeth Mayer and information on the family's genealogy and individual experiences. The collection includes a large quantity of family correspondence; family trees; articles; official, military, and educational documents; some financial and legal documentation and correspondence; and photographs.

The Anna Schneider Correspondence contains a large body of correspondence between 1939 and 1945, plus a small amount of genealogical information gathered in 1993.

Contains a summary regarding the family history as well as a genealogical chart listing descendants of Z'av Yitshak and Ruth Baron (lived in Russia c. 1880).

Collection contains a copy of the published memorial book and its English translation. The first generation described in the book is Rabbi Yehuda, the son of Rabbi Eliezer Halevi Mintz, the Askenazi Rabbi in the city of Padua, Italy, who died in the Hebrew year 5269 [1509]. The book, which covers the years 1461-1920, was translated from Hebrew by S.J. Sacks.

The collection contains various materials pertaining to the historical research conducted by Baruch Ophir, and comprises three folders.

Much of the collection consists of photocopies and reproductions of documents, photographs, and artworks pertaining to various branches of the Beer-Meyerbeer family. The collection also contains several family trees and histories going back as far as 1677.

Contains a DVD, printed transcripts, and a CD of transcript files. Belle Kaminer was born in New York to immigrants Charlie and Anna Kleinberg. She describes her life growing up in a railroad flat on Forsythe Street, her later move to the Bronx, and the early years of her marriage to Ikey Kaminer.

The collection contains a large number of original historical documents related to the family Berliner of Hanover. Folder 1 contains original materials including residency permit for Moses Berliner from 1817 and a bundle of business and family documents of the Berliner family dating 1789-1898. There are also clippings from pre-war newspapers and 20th century family certificates and documents, including a short handwritten family history penned in 1964, author unknown.

This collection contains a variety of genealogical materials, largely concerning the descendents of Julius Bleichröder (1828-1907) and various related families. The materials take the form of family tree diagrams, genealogical tables and charts, as well as a couple of narrative accounts of the family history. They cover a period roughly from the early 18th century through the late 20th century.

Lists the descendants of Simon Block, Jr. (date of birth unknown, died 1825) and Suzanne C. (Susan) (b. 1788 in Nova Scotia, Canada and died 1873 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.). The Block family is included in Malcolm Stern's "First American Jewish Families.".

Consists of an extensive family tree, originating with Samuel Bluthenthal (formerly Sandel Feis), who was born in Munchweiler, Germany in 1762 and his wife Marianna David (formerly Jachet David) who was born in Lorsch, Germany in 1768.

This collection contains correspondence and two manuscripts by Alfred Julius Bruck about the Bruck family history.

The Bruck-Jacobson Family Collection holds documentation of and genealogical research on this family as well as of members of the related Bruck and Flato families. The collection includes official papers, genealogical notes and family trees, personal and educational papers, receipts, paper currency, research notes, certificates, a handwritten cookbook and a handwritten housekeeping manual, a diary, photographs, and a sketch of a family residence.

This collection contains personal papers of Carl Beyth's family members as well as World War I era clippings and broadsides.

This collection contains family trees, marriage records and passports from the 19th century and 1930s, as well as correspondence and several photographs documenting Jules Cortell's professional and philanthropic activities.

Leather bound receipt book of approximately 200 pages, with 20 interleaved unbound sheets filled with signed transactions of voyage records in English of the commercial dealings of the brothers Moses and Isaac in the West Indies. Of note are vital statistics of the members of the family, and the record of a slave purchase. One of the interleaved sheets contains a record of the inscriptions on the monuments of the Battle of Waterloo. Among the merchants who signed the book are the following members of the Jewish community of Barbados: Abraham Rodrigues Brandon, Isaac Lopez Brandon, Hananel de Castra, Moses Mendes da Costa, Benjamin Elkin, Mozley Elkin, Abraham Finzi, David Lindo, Jacob Lindo, Raphael Lindo, D.M. Lobo, Isaac de Moses Lobo, Jacob Lobo, Hart Lyon, John Montefiore, Phin S. Nunes, Daniel Pass. Mention is made of S.E. Daniels, Sarah Finzi, Joseph Hart, Edward Aaron Moses and Sampson Shannon.

Collection contains a Russian passport for Hillel Kampawitz and his family; a naturalization certificate for Hillel Kamp; a ketubah for John Kamp, Hillel's son and his wife Anna Fae Kalish; and a 1915 census record for the Kamp family who resided in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Dr. I. Edwin Goldwasser Papers document the professional achievements and personal life of Dr. Goldwasser and his extended family. The bulk of the materials are related to his work as the first Executive Director of Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, and his subsequent philanthropic activities. The collection also contains a series with genealogical materials related to the larger Goldwasser family, assembled by his descendants. There are drafts and notes on his various writings, both published and unpublished; essays on “Jewish Women of the Bible” and “Jewish Women at the Bar of History” are included in the collection, as is a copy of his published book Method and Methods in the Teaching of English.

Includes a family letter written by Gordon J. Fine; individual biographies for the Brodie, Horwitz (Hurwitz), Fine, Wolk, Edelstein, Measnikoff, Potyk, and Wolkov families; a mailing list; and extensive genealogical charts.

The Einstein Family Genealogy Collection consists of genealogical research on the family. It includes photocopies of German historical records pertaining to numerous family members, many family trees, genealogical research correspondence, and notes on the resided.

This collection contains materials related to the family history of Elizabeth Strauss Plaut (1911-2003). Family photographs make up the bulk of the collection. Other materials include Plaut’s notes and correspondence regarding genealogy, several of Plaut’s articles about genealogical research, and a few family papers.

The Else Richthofen-Jaffé Correspondence primarily consists of the family correspondence of this social scientist. Much of the collection consists of Else Richthofen-Jaffé's correspondence with her adult children and their families, although some correspondence with other family members or other close individuals is also present. In addition the collection contains parts of an unpublished work on the family and some genealogical notes.

Primarily contains information regarding the descendants of Solomon Epstein (b. 1863 in Magin) and his wife Monia Roth (b. 1868 in Barditchev).
