Heilbronn (Germany)

This collection contains materials from Frank L. Herz, primarily his correspondence about his birthplace of Heilbronn, Germany, and correspondence concerning his uncle, noted Communist and Social Democrat Paul Levi. It also contains correspondence with East German writer Ludwig Renn, some clippings and printed materials about Heilbronn, a small amount of miscellaneous personal correspondence, and four photographs.

The file contains various materials pertaining to the Würzburger family of Heilbronn, collected by Hannah Bachrach (née Würzburger), and comprises two folders.

This collection contains materials from the life of James May (1921- ). In particular, it documents via correspondence and clippings his ongoing engagement with his home town of Heilbronn, Germany, starting in the 1960s but particularly in the 1980s. It also includes other correspondence, personal papers, military materials, restitution files, genealogical materials relating to the family of his mother, Thekla Sänger May, and clippings and documents about his professional life as a textile designer.

The Max Rosengart Collection consists of a variety of personal writings to friends, family and colleagues. It gives a brief overview over the life and person of Max Rosengart as attorney, father, honorary citizen of Heilbronn and friend.

The Rabbi Robert L. Lehman Collection focuses on the development of a rabbi and of his role leading his congregations. The collection includes copious sermons, substantial correspondence, articles, newspaper clippings, notes, congregational and conference publications, photographs, diplomas, and a few objects.

Material related to the Victor (Vicktor) family and their leather factory in Heilbronn, Germany, including a handwritten company contract (Gesellschaftvertrag ) for the brothers Julius and Joseph Vic(k)tor , 1870(?), photocopies about the company, and education certificates for Max Victor, 1914-1925. Also included is a school certificate for Minna Levi, Fulda, 1890.
