The Felix Pinkus Family Collection documents the professional and personal lives of the dermatologist Felix Pinkus and his son Hermann Pinkus, and of other members of their family to a smaller extent. Prominent subjects include their work in dermatology, their artistic interests, Felix Pinkus's travels, and the family in general. This collection comprises a diverse array of formats. Text-based items include correspondence, unpublished writings, notes and research, newspaper clippings and journal articles, educational and professional certificates and documentation, official documents and various kinds of memorabilia. Visual media include photographs, photograph albums, small sketches, drawings and paintings and various types of scrapbooks.

This collection consists of twelve items, mainly card photographs from the late nineteenth century of Donald Garber’s grandparents Lena and Harris Singer, and Lena’s sisters Mamie and Rachel. The photographs include wedding portraits of Lena and Harris Singer, Rachel and her husband Sholom Schaefer and Mamie and Leopold Schwartz.

The papers in this collection form a heterogeneous corpus of official and legal papers as well as personal and genealogical correspondence.

Prominent topics are Aenne and Benno Schwabacher's vacations, their emigration from Germany and their immigration to the USA. The papers in this collection include a vast amount of visual material (predominantly photos), official documents, most of which related to the Schwabacher’s emigration and immigration as well as quite lot of correspondence.

This collection contains material pertaining to the sociologist Werner Cahnman and his wife, the biophysicist Gisella Levi Cahnman. It primarily documents the early years and immigration of Werner Cahnman, as well as his and his wife's careers in the United States. It also illustrates the immigration of family members. Papers in this collection include a large amount of photographs, correspondence, diaries, some writings, official papers, and restitution files.
