Greeting cards

The Cassirer-Tietz Family Collection concentrates on the genealogy of the Cassirer and related families. It also holds some biographical information on family members along with papers of a few individual members. The collection includes both research and personal correspondence, family trees and related research notes, documentation on the family foundation, articles and newspaper clippings, and photographs and negatives.

Contains printed and manuscript letters, written in English, Yiddish and Hebrew, requesting funds, addressed to Emily Phillips from the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, private individuals and private institutions.

Of special interest are a printed announcement of the investiture of Jacob Saul ben Eliezer Elyasher as Haham Bashi, and a series of letters in which Simon Muhr, acting on Miss Phillips' behalf, undertook to discover, through inquiries of Lazard Freres, France, whether the claims of a petitioner were correct. Includes also a printed New Year's greeting to Miss Phillips signed by a petitioner.

The Felix Pinkus Family Collection documents the professional and personal lives of the dermatologist Felix Pinkus and his son Hermann Pinkus, and of other members of their family to a smaller extent. Prominent subjects include their work in dermatology, their artistic interests, Felix Pinkus's travels, and the family in general. This collection comprises a diverse array of formats. Text-based items include correspondence, unpublished writings, notes and research, newspaper clippings and journal articles, educational and professional certificates and documentation, official documents and various kinds of memorabilia. Visual media include photographs, photograph albums, small sketches, drawings and paintings and various types of scrapbooks.

Contains personal correspondence of the Gertner family from 1937-1961. Includes New Years, Thank you, sympathy, and birth announcement greeting cards.

The collection contains items collected by Julius Bisno from various Jewish leaders from the early 1800s through the 1980s. These materials include correspondence and autographed photographs from Jewish members of the United Nations, U.S. President's Cabinet, U.S. Governors, U.S. Senators, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Supreme Court, diplomats, philanthropists, and miscellaneous Jewish leaders and organizations.

The collection contains correspondence and other personal documents (1854-1861) from Germany (including 2 letters in Yiddish, and one in German) to Auerhaim and a letter written by Auerhaim while visiting Saugerties, New York in 1854.

This collection holds papers of members of the extended Stern family, with the bulk of the collection centering on the businessmen James and John (Hans Ulrich) Stern. It is largely comprised of personal papers and correspondence, but also contains business and legal documents, postcards, poetry, and photographs of members of the Stern and related families.

This record group consists of printed materials and publications, produced by Hadassah projects and departments, Young Judaea, and other Zionist organizations from 1911-2011. Materials in the record group include periodicals, newsletters, greeting cards, certificates, invitations, brochures, pamphlets, catalogs, and other professionally produced printed materials. Besides Young Judaea, projects documented include Hadassah Magazine, the Hadassah Medical Organization, Youth Aliyah, the Jewish National Fund, and Hadassah Israel Education Services.

This collection contains the personal and business records, and photographs of Ludwig Spielberger, a Hungarian immigrant, and a successful grocer in Akron, Ohio. Collection also includes an announcement of a change in the family name; wills; a family Bible (in both German and Hebrew); and a brief sketch of the Spielberger family.
