Braun Family Collection, Nuremberg
This collection contains papers of various members of the Braun family of Nuremberg, as well as the related Bernhard, Busse and Orfali families. Included are a variety of materials: diaries, household budget and account books, lists, travel diaries, poetry, correspondence, family trees, sketchbooks and a few official papers.
Edith Neumann Collection
The Edith Neumann Collection describes the personal and professional life of the microbiologist Edith Neumann née Spitzer and several of her family members. Foremost her husband Frederick Neumann. The emigration from Austria and eventual immigration to the United States of Edith and Frederick Neumann is also documented here, as are significant events in her life. Documents in this collection include personal correspondence, official papers, notes, calendars, index cards, address books, photographs and other visual material, and clippings.
Eva Stroh Family Collection
This collection documents the family history and lives of the family members of Eva Stroh, including members of the Sondheimer and Stroh families, as well as papers pertaining to related families. A small amount of material also related to the family firm, Beer, Sondheimer and Co.. The collection includes many photographs and albums, official papers, correspondence, family trees and charts, published articles and notes, daily calendars and a notebook.
Julius Bab Collection
This collection contains a large volume of correspondence, as well as manuscripts, diaries, scrapbooks, and clippings all documenting the cultural production of the theater critic and dramatist Julius Bab. The correspondence notably contains large amounts of original letters from Gustav Landauer, Gerhart Hauptmann, Richard Dehmel, and Fritz Mauthner, and several other leading cultural and political figures from the first half of the 20th century.
Seligsohn Kroner Family Collection
The Seligsohn Kroner Family Collection consists of material that reflects the life and work of the philosopher Richard J. Kroner (1884-1974), his wife Alice Kroner née Kauffmann (1885-1968), their daughter Gerda M. Seligsohn née Kroner (1909-2002), and their son-in-law Rabbi Rudolf Seligsohn (1909-1943). The collection primarily consists of correspondence relating to the emigration experiences of each of the family members. In addition, the collection contains personal documents, newspaper clippings, off-prints of the philosophical writings of Richard Kroner, photographs, a photo album, and a few paintings.
William and Charlotte Engel Levison Collection
This collection contains the papers of William and Charlotte Engel Levison and their family members. It largely documents the professional work of William Levison, the personal correspondence and interests of Charlotte Engel Levison, and the family history of both the Levison and Engel families, including papers of family ancestors. Among the papers of this collection are official papers, correspondence, poetry books, diaries, memoir material, military and professional papers, notes, and clippings.
