This collection pertains to the life of Doris Rauch (née Perlhefter), her uncle Norbert Troller, and fellow Holocaust survivors Oscar Bittner and Oscar Jellinek. It encompasses government documents and Rauch’s identification forms issued by the United States and Czechoslovakia, as well as her correspondence relating to family and Holocaust history in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. Included are photographs of friends and family engaged in recreation or as posed portraits, the great majority in black and white. Authored by Norbert Troller himself are a memoir manuscript and family tree denoting those members killed during the Holocaust.

The bulk of the materials in this collection are drafts of articles by psychologist Dorit Whiteman on the experience of Holocaust survivors, including a full draft of the longer work The Uprooted. Additional materials include some photocopies of personal papers belonging to her mother, Lillian Stern Bader.

This collection holds the papers of the philosophy professor E. Hans Freund. Notable subjects include the development of his professional life, the Freund family, and his experiences in Nazi Germany. The collection consists of correspondence, official documents, memoirs, manuscripts, official documents, and photographs.

Folder 1 contains the Questionnaire of the Austrian Heritage Collection at the Leo Baeck Institute and additional biographical documents. Vital documents include birth certificates, residency permits, military documents, and other related documents stemming from the war years in Cernauti / Czernowitz. There are also documents relating to his attempts to emigrate from Romania, an honorary diploma, correspondence relating to emigration and exhibitions, his parents' death certificates and other post-World War II Romanian and American identification documents.

This collection primarily contains materials from World War II related to Edith and Robert Friedlander, of Czech-German-Jewish descent. This material includes a birth certificate, declaration of intention document, US Army enlistment/separation papers for Robert Friedlander, and postcards that his parents wrote from Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia. There are questionnaires filled out by Edith Friedlander from the Austrian Heritage Collection, presenting a picture of pre-war Viennese Jewish life and the impact of the Anschluss. There are also Friedlander family photographs, predominately of Robert Friendlander during World War II. Accompanying this material are assorted miscellaneous 19th and early 20th century material: a title page of M. Friedlanders book Die Religiösen Bewegungen Innerhalb Des Judentums im Zeitalter Jesu (1905); an arcticle about Rabbi Michael Lazar Kohn mentioning Rabbi Jacob Schäfer (circa 1900); and pages from the newspaper Sportler über Sport.

The Egon Fromm Family Collection documents the lives of members of the Fromm and Heumann families, with a focus on the families of Walter Fromm and Carola Heumann, the parents of Egon Fromm. Included is family correspondence that relates to the family's emigration and search for relatives after the war. Other papers include songs and speeches from family weddings, a friendship book, passports and genealogy research for both branches of the family.

Contains 12 family documents relating to the following members of the Ehrlich family: David Ehrlich of Germany, d. 1861, 1 item; Leopold Ehrlich of Rogasen, Germany, 1852-1921, 6 items, including certificates of election to city council; Jonas Alexander Israel Ehrlich, 1886-1953, who emigrated in 1939 to Brazil, 5 items, including a recommendation for a travel visa to Brazil.

The collection contains the German translation of the minutes of Adolf Eichmann's trial. It comprises thirteen volumes and includes legal material, an unofficial version of the verdict (Urteil), and a glossary pertaining to the translation.

Selected Einsatzgruppen records: RSHA reports on the activities of Einsatzgruppen in the U.S.S.R., 1941-1942. These reports were based on the reports sent by the four Einsatzgruppen to Berlin. Between June 1941 and April 1942, 195 reports were issued. Reports Nos. 1 to 30 are missing in this collection. Reports from the Occupied Eastern Territories. These were issued by the commanders of the Einsatzgruppen after the units had become stationary local branches of the RSHA. The reports relate to topics such as "actions" (i.e. extermination raids), executions, forced labor, camps, ghettos, Judenrat, Jewish badges, pogroms by local populations, final solution, partisans.

The Eleanor G. Feitler Family Collection consists of the correspondence and papers of members of the Emil and Auguste Glauber and Heinrich and Erna Mayer families, especially the descendants of the three Herrmann sisters (Clara, Paula, and Erna) along with the families into which they married.

The Elisabeth Lunau Collection documents Elisabeth Lunau’s personal life and her research on her father, Ludwig Marum, a Minister in the Weimer Republic and a prominent figure in the Socialist movement; the collection also documents Elisabeth Lunau’s research on her family’s genealogy. The collection consists of correspondence, vital-, immigration-, and financial documents, photographs, lists, genealogical tables, manuscripts, notes, and printed materials.

This collection documents the life of Elizabeth Deutsch. It includes correspondence and photographs, primarily from her time as a young person in Vienna. It also includes restitution materials.

Consists of news clippings written by and about Wiesel, and about Stern's book, Elie Wiesel: Witness for Life.

Elsa Oestreicher, née Herz, born in Berlin in 1878 and married to the physician D. Jacques Oestreicher, was a successful cooking instructor and author of cookbooks. In 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt where she also worked as a cook, cooking instructor and as head of the soup-kitchen until her liberation in 1945. The collection contains Elsa Oestreicher’s notes on Theresienstadt, concentration-camp insignia, correspondence, poems and memoirs by her as well as official documents such as certificates related to her profession.

This correspondence consists of letters sent to Else Herz in New York from her parents, relatives, and friends in Germany between 1937 and 1941.

This collection consists of buttons, a keychain, and a sticker advocating support for Holocaust survivors, human rights issues, Israel, and Soviet Jews. Organizations represented include Boston Mobilization for Soviet Jewry, Coalition to Free Soviet Jews, Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, Jewish Students Network, National Conference on Soviet Jewry, Student Zionist Council, and Young Judaea.

The file contains documents pertaining to the connection between the Hebrew Teachers Union, represented by Ephraim Ginsberg, and the German Teachers Union (Arbeitgemeinschaft Deutscher Lehrerverbände), and comprises two folders.

The Eric Lind collection documents his involvement with numismatics and philately and his interests in the Holocaust and the fate of the Jews during World War II. Materials collected here cover topics such as Anti-Semitism, Holocaust, Nazis and Neo-Nazis, forgeries during WW II, stamps and currency, and the era of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The collection consists of printed materials, artifacts, paper money and coins, stamps, post cards, envelopes, correspondence, documents, and photographs.

The Eric Zielenziger Collection includes materials dealing with various members of the Zielenziger family. The bulk of the collection consists of Ruth Zielenziger’s teaching materials. Materials dealing with other members of the family include vital and school documents, certificates, financial documents, some family correspondence, genealogical tables, and a large number of Kurt Zielenziger’s manuscripts.

The collection consists of the correspondence, personal documents and family photos of Erica Furnberg, her mother, and daughter. A large part of the correspondence deals with Erica's attempts to help her sister Magda to emigrate from France to the USA.

Various manuscripts by Erich Drucker from the Erich Drucker Collection and the LBI Memoirs Collection

The collection contains writings, along with a small amount of personal and business correspondence, of Erich Drucker, a German businessman and active member of the Socialist Workers' Party of Germany, who immigrated to the United States from Nazi Germany in 1941 and subsequently became a book dealer in New York City. A prolific writer throughout his life, Drucker regularly kept diaries, and wrote poems, essays, sketches, reflections, and aphorisms. The materials include notebooks dating from Drucker's youth in Germany; typescripts of poems, prose and diaries that he produced in the United States; business correspondence from the year 1933 of the firm Drucker headed in Berlin before his emigration – Drucker & Gotthelf, a representative of clothing manufacturers; and Drucker's edited copies of letters written to him by his friend Elise Tilse, of Berlin, in the years 1946 to 1947.

The Erich Jacobs collection contains documents and correspondence, as well as genealogical tables of both the Jacobs and Neumann families. There are several documents regarding emigration attempts, as well as receipts, passport and naturalization forms, registrations to various organizations, and certificates. Much of the collection includes facsimiles of the original records with translations attached.

This collection holds personal and official documents, correspondence, genealogical information, biographical manuscripts and photographs related to the Feith, Lyon and Katz families. Most of the documents pertain to Erna Bonette, Fred Gustav and their son Henry Arthur Katz. The collection focuses on their lives in Germany and the United States as well as their emigration via Luxemburg and Portugal. It also holds materials pertaining to members of the extended Katz and Lyon families and their ancestors, including the Feith family. Also included is material about a Mikveh from the 15th century in Siegburg, Germany.

The Erna Katzenell collection consists of documents about Katzenell's life in hiding during the Second World War and her ultimate rescue. Amongst others, it includes documents about her rescuers, clippings, correspondence, photographs, and transcripts of interviews.

This collection represents a lifetime of genealogical research by Ernst R. Stiefel about his family history. Files about individuals and families contain documents that are almost entirely photocopies from various German archives. Various family trees and photocopies of articles about Jews in Germany are also in this collection.

This collection contains the papers of Ernest W. Michel, Holocaust Survivor Journalist and public speaker,including clippings of newspaper articles written by and about Michel, correspondence between Michel and many important Jewish and political figures and autograph files, which Michel collected. Many of these files concern Michel’s Holocaust experiences, speaking engagements, the World Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors, and Michel’s work with the United Jewish Appeal.
