Salier Family Collection
The Salier Family Collection holds papers of members of the Salier family as well as related families, such as the Alexander, Lipmann, and Lehmann families. The collection consists primarily of official, educational, and professional documents of family members, along with a small amount of family correspondence, a few photographs, family writing, newspaper clippings and articles, a cookbook, and a friendship album.
Simon H. Rifkind Papers
The Simon H. Rifkind Papers document seventy-four years of Rifkind’s career as a lawyer, judge, and humanitarian. The collection spans the years 1921 to 1995 and is composed primarily of paper-based materials, including correspondence, reports, court documents, newspaper clippings, notes, personal and professional writings, publications, and ephemera. A few instances of audiovisual material and realia are recorded throughout the six individual series.
Sobel Family Collection
This collection consists of documents of and about the Sobel family, including the family's genealogy, correspondence (primarily about the family's history), family reunions, a detailed will of a family member, and photocopies of photographs.
S.S. Navemar - Saul Sperling Collection
This collection contains the papers of lawyer Saul Sperling related to the lawsuit brought by passengers of the S.S. Navemar against the owners of the ship in 1941-1942 for death, personal injury, and property damage that occurred during the difficult journey. Many passengers were Jewish refugees fleeing Europe. Materials include Saul Sperling’s notes, correspondence, legal documents, and bills.
Suzanne Schrag Collection
The Suzanne Schrag Collection holds papers of Suzanne (née Fuchs) and Paul Schrag, as well as papers of family members, especially Suzanne's parents and Paul's maternal uncle Nathan Sulzberger. Much of the collection focuses on the lives of family members, especially as documented in their extensive family correspondence. Prominent is also the unpublished writing of Paul Schrag and Nathan Sulzberger, notably the memoirs of Paul Schrag and short stories of Nathan Sulzberger. Some official documents, especially those pertaining to the education of Paul and Suzanne Schrag are also present, along with a few photographs, notes on genealogy, and other papers.
Tarnowski Family Collection
The Tarnowski Family Collection provides documentation on the lives of Tarnowski and related family members' lives during the late 1930s and 1940s. The bulk of the collection consists of personal correspondence sent to Klaus Günther Tarnowski in Sweden from 1939-1942 but documentation, including official correspondence from German government offices, is also present on property of the Tarnowski and Friedmann families. Most prominent among the collection's personal correspondence are Georg, Marie, and Hans Tarnowski, as well as Betty Friedmann.
The Margaret and Kurt Rosenberg Family Collection
Correspondence, manuscripts,documents and photographs of Kurt Rosenberg and Margarethe Rosenberg, née Levinson.
Tuchmann Family Collection
This collection contains official documents, family papers, and correspondence pertaining to the Jewish community in and around Nuremberg, with an especial focus on the Tuchmann family genealogy. There are also a number of family papers and some correspondece, including materials related to the family's restitution claims.
Walter Breslauer Collection
Published articles by the lawyer and Jewish community leader Walter Breslauer on matters of interest for German Jewish refugees after World War Two, including legal matters; international law; questions concerning restitution for German refugees; articles about Jewish personalities; and articles about the Jewish community in Berlin.
Weichert Family Collection
This collection contains the personal papers of Vienna lawyer Joachim David Weichert, his wife Käthe, and their son Hans (later John). The family immigrated to the United States in 1938. Included are education records, military records, official documents, medical records, emigration records, photographs, and prints of painted portraits.
Wilhelm Salomon Freund Collection
The collection contains certificates and correspondence documenting Wilhel Salomon Freund's career as a lawyer, as well as documents pertaining to the family of his wife Clara Freund née Immerwahr.
Wolf-Oppenheimer Family Collection
The Wolf-Oppenheimer Collection provides details on the lives, both personal and professional of more than three generations of members of the related Wolf and Oppenheimer families. Most prominently represented among the collection's papers are Hermann and Irene (née Oppenheimer) Wolf and their daughter Marlies (née Wolf) and Eugene Plotnik, but the papers relate to many other family members as well. The collection includes personal papers, official and educational documents, family correspondence, photographs, family trees, articles as well as personal family writing, and newspaper clippings.
