Additional Records of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in the Lithuanian Central State Archives
The materials in this collection constitute a semi-random sample of the pre-war archive that was transferred to the Central State Archives of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic following the liquidation of the Vilnius Jewish Museum in 1949. The collection includes records of YIVO work and activities, financial records, correspondence, and publications; documents about pogroms in Ukraine, and Red Army and Soviet activity in Vilna and Bialystok; and a significant amount of records of socialist, communist, and Zionist political parties, as well as associated newspapers and one-time publications.

Erwin Loewenson Collection
The first folder contains essays and manuscripts written by Loewenson, as well as his letters written to the heads of various Zionist organizations (e.g., Keren Hayesod) during the 1920s. Also included are reminiscences about Erwin Loewenson. The second folder contains newspaper articles written by Loewenson.
Hans Kohn Collection
Papers of Hans Kohn (1891-1971), historian and lawyer, who was active in Zionist organizations. He published extensively on questions of nationalism and related topics. The collection consists of documents relating to Hans Kohn's professional experience, materials relating to his political activities, correspondence, diaries, materials relating to his experience in World War I and as a prisoner of war, personal documents, photos, clippings.
Hugo Fuchs Collection
This collection comprises materials related to Hugo Fuchs, rabbi of Chemnitz from 1907-1939. Included here are are a small amount of his correspondence and some of his published writings. In addition, this collection holds visual material on Jewish places and themes and some items pertaining to the Goeritz family.
Jacob Levitz Papers
Miscellaneous correspondence with individuals and institutions in Mexico, Poland, the U.S. Manuscripts by others including Hebrew responsa by Rabbi Chaim Rabinovitch from the Yeshiva Beis Yitschok in Slobodka.
Jewish National Fund Records in the Hadassah Archives
The Jewish National Fund records reflect the non-profit organization’s afforestation efforts in Israel in funding partnership with Hadassah. Included in this collection are personnel records, membership lists, and convention summaries, as well as correspondence, project documentation, and publications such as press releases, and magazines.
Königsberg Jewish Community Collection
This collection contains assorted primary and secondary materials relevant to the former German-Jewish community of Königsberg, including programs from the synagogue and local Jewish organizations, curricula for Jewish education in Königsberg, and materials on the development of a prayer book for the New Synagogue.
Papers of William Edlin (1878-1947)
This collection contains the personal and professional papers of William Edlin, editor of The Day and a prominent Socialist. It includes correspondence with individuals and with organizations, newspaper clippings, manuscripts of works by Edlin and by others as well as translations done by Edlin, and some of Edlin’s personal documents. These materials relate to Edlin’s involvement with The Day, with the Socialist Party, the Workmen’s Circle, various labor and Zionist organizations, literary clubs and activities, and with music, art and drama.
