The papers of Colonel Seymour Jacob Pomrenze (1916-2011) contain materials relating to his role as the first director of the Offenbach Archival Depot (OAD) in early 1946, as well as documentation of his career as a records management and archives consultant for the American Jewish cultural sector. It also includes a small amount of biographical material.

This clippings collection contains newspaper clippings covering history and memorials of concentration camps. Also included are brochures, programs, and a poster for events held in memory of victims of concentration camps. Finally, two annual reports of the KZ-Gedenkstätte Dachau and a bibliography of literature at the KZ-Museum Dachau are included.

This constructed collection contains very limited traces of several concentration camps established and run by the Nazis between 1933 and 1945. The concentration camps covered are Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Buna-Monowitz, Dachau, Sachsenhausen, Schatzlar, and Stutthof. Limited materials from the Łódź ghetto are also included, and other concentration camps may be mentioned. The scant materials in the collection include correspondence, creative or religious writings, photographs, money, lists of prisoners, materials on Josef Mengele, calls to action to assist prisoners, military reports by liberators, a copy of a Totenbuch from Dachau, an original death certificate from Auschwitz, and an original certificate of discharge from Sachsenhausen. The one exception to the relative scarcity of materials on each camp is the extensive interrogation report from Buchenwald.

The collection holds official paperwork and publications of Congregation Beth Hillel in Washington Heights. The majority of this congregation had emigrated from Munich, with an additional number of émigrés from Nuremberg. Prominent members of this congregation included the former leading Rabbi of the Munich Main Synagogue, Rabbi Leo Baerwald, as well as businessman and president of the congregation, Hermann Schuelein.

The Congregation B’nai Jacob Collection includes materials documenting the history of the congregation and includes bank statements, circulars, correspondence, documents, membership lists, minutes of Annual Meetings, journals containing information about the congregation’s cemetery, a prayer book, and rubber stamps.

This collection contains records of the German-Jewish Orthodox Congregation Ohav Sholaum of Washington Heights, New York, such as by-laws, correspondence of its long-time rabbi, Ralph Neuhaus, and documents relating to its charitable organization Gemiluth Chessed of Washington Heights. It also includes sheet music used by the congregation's choir.

This collection consists almost exclusively of materials documenting the administration of Congregation Shaari Tephillah's plots in three New Jersey cemeteries. Congregation Shaari Tephillah was founded in 1935 as the first German-Jewish congregation formed in the United States after 1933.

This collection contains lists of businesses (mostly clothing and department stores) owned by the Conitzer family, a short biography of Rudolf Conitzer, and several Conitzer family tree charts. An illustrated brochure from the late 1920s or early 1930s also offers some historical information on the family's businesses, as well as photographs of several of their stores in northern and eastern Germany.

This collection mostly consists of newspaper clippings, articles and other documentation on Jews in Europe and in Palestine, as well as on Zionism and Jewish history. In addition, a small amount of biographical information on Conrad Cohn is present.

This Collection contains the almost complete estate of Constantin Brunner (a.k.a Leo Wertheimer) as well as a comprehensive collection of documents and especially letters from the Brunner circle and those pertaining to the Brunner reception.

The collection comprises typescripts; reprints; clippings; articles; circulars; and correspondence pertaining to the philosopher Constantin Brunner and the circle of his followers worldwide. Of interest are three manuscripts by Brunner himself, as well as a series of manuscripts by other authors, written either during Brunner’s lifetime or as commemorations of Brunner’s anniversaries. In particular, there are articles by Ferdinand Alquié, Magdalena Kasch, Abraham Klein, Ernst Ludwig Pinner and others. In addition, there are reports and circulars of the ‘Internationaal Constantin Brunner Instituut’ (the International Constantin Brunner Society), as well as announcements for the publications of Brunner’s books and their reviews.

The bulk of the collection is composed of 20 manuscripts and reports written by Cora Berliner during her work in the economic department of the Reichsvertretung der deutschen Juden from 1934-1935, for example "Overview of the Economic Situation of the Jews from 1929-1933 and Overview of the Legislation of the Third Reich on the Marginalization of the Jews" (undated, report Nr. 20), "Notes on the Current Economic Situation" (1934, report nr. 23), "List of Points Recently Leading to Economic Difficulties" (1935, report nr. 26). All reports are in German, except for report nr 35 "Statistical Meterial on the Jewish Question" (undated). A complete list of the titles of the reports can be found at the beginning of folder 1, in both the original card catologue entries and list provided by the Leo Baeck Institute in London. The reports are numbered according the LBI catalogue, not numbers provided by Berliner.

This collection contains family trees, marriage records and passports from the 19th century and 1930s, as well as correspondence and several photographs documenting Jules Cortell's professional and philanthropic activities.

This collection contains the records of the Council of Jews from Germany (Council for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Jews from Germany). It represents the interests of former German Jews in matters of restitution and indemnification, legislation, contacts with successor organizations for heirless Jewish property in West Germany, and social work activities, and was a founding member of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany (the Claims Conference). The records primarily range from the 1950s to the 1970s, and include correspondence concerning all aspects of restitution, particularly with the Claims Conference, internal minutes and other administrative and financial documents, and a small amount of cultural material.

The collection contains Dutch and Portuguese documents pertaining to the Jewish community and dealing especially with Congregation Mikve Israel and Neve Salom, the David Aboab controversy, and the communal reorganizations of 1750-51. Four rolls of microfilmed documentary and printed materials are present in the collection

The majority of the materials in this collection consist of original and some published documents pertaining to the Berlin physician Curt Bejach and his family. Also included are original correspondence and published articles about the physicist Samuel Goudsmit.

The collection documents the life and interests of Curt C. Silberman. There are only a few materials related to his life in Germany and his and family's immigration. The bulk of the collection consists of documents and correspondence related to his involvement with Jewish organizations in the US and his visits to Germany, especially his hometown Wuerzburg.

The collection documents the life and professional activities of the German-born attorney Curt Silberman, in the period of his life following his emigration to the United States, from the 1940s to the 1990s. The materials include correspondence; manuscripts of speeches; ephemera; clippings; publications such as organizational newsletters and anniversary booklets; and photographs. The majority of the materials relate, on the one hand, to Silberman's service in and engagement with social welfare, cultural and educational organizations and institutions, including the American Federation of Jews from Central Europe and allied organizations; and, on the other, to his activities as a lecturer and speaker, both in the United States and (from the 1960s on) in Germany, especially his hometown of Würzburg, on topics including the commemoration of Kristallnacht, German Jewish history, and aspects of international law.

The collection contains documents of Dagobert Nellhaus, mostly pertaining to his work as a rabbi. Included are a marriage contract; sermon; correspondence; essay by Nellhaus on the Jews of Silesia; birth, death, and marriage records of the Jewish community of Pirmasens for the years 1931 to 1939; and Nellhaus' records for his activities as a rabbi in Hirschberg (Jelenia Góra) and Pirmasens for the 1920s and 1930s, including records of sermons, bar mitzvahs, and birthdays.

The collection comprises catalogues, advertising, and correspondence of Jewish book dealers and publishers, and clippings on the Jewish book trade and Zionism from German newspapers.

The collection consists of research materials collected by Daniel Horn on anti-Semitism, ritual murder cases, etc. in Austria and specifically in Vienna, as well as on Zionism. The materials include Horn’s notes, excerpts from various publications, many manuscripts and a large amount of clippings, all either in original form or in photocopies.

The collection contains 77 letters and essays by Daniel Lessmann. The letters start in 1813 when Daniel Lessmann was just 19 years old and they continue to the year 1831 when he died.

The diaries in this collection were kept by Sophie Dann and two of her children, Sidonie and Ludwig. In addition to recording the ups and downs of family life, including illnesses, births, and deaths, the contents also reflect various shifts in sentiment and lifestyle over two generations of German Jews. All of the diaries except for the booklet of toasts in folder 9 are accompanied by English translations or summaries.
