Bruch-Kassel Collection
This collection contains material on the related Kassel and Bruch (Bruck) families as well as on the immigration experiences of Fritz Kassel. Included among the collection are correspondence, manuscripts, clippings, notes, family trees, and a few publications.
Carol Davidson Baird Collection
The Carol Davidson Baird Papers contain documentation of her family history. The collection includes copies of photographs, certificates and letters of various family members since 1862. It also contains genealogical charts reaching back to the 15th century.
Egon Fromm Family Collection
The Egon Fromm Family Collection documents the lives of members of the Fromm and Heumann families, with a focus on the families of Walter Fromm and Carola Heumann, the parents of Egon Fromm. Included is family correspondence that relates to the family's emigration and search for relatives after the war. Other papers include songs and speeches from family weddings, a friendship book, passports and genealogy research for both branches of the family.
Felix Freilich Family Collection

Fred Cahnmann Family Collection
The Fred Cahnmann Family Collection documents portions of the lives of Fred Cahnmann and other Cahnmann family members. In addition it provides genealogical research on the Cahnmann and related families. The collection includes many family trees, correspondence, photographs, official documents, articles and newspaper clippings and research notes.
Gundersheimer Siegel Family Collection
The Gundersheimer Siegel Family Collection holds papers of the art historian and professor Hermann S. Gundersheimer as well as papers of members of the Gundersheimer and Siegel families. With a focus on the professional work of Hermann Gundersheimer and the family's emigration, the collection contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, lecture texts and notes, official documents, articles, certificates, genealogical research and family trees.
Hans and Birgit Neuberg Collection
The bulk of the collection consists of published materials from the 1980s describing the former Jewish community in Krefeld and its fate during the Holocaust. Also included are genealogical tables of the extended Neuberg family.
Heidecker and Schmitt Family Collection
The Heidecker and Schmitt Family Collection largely documents the emigration experiences of members of the Heidecker, Schmitt, and related families, especially of Ludolf and Ruth (née Schmitt) Heidecker. The failure of some family members in leaving Germany is portrayed in these papers as well. Other subjects include the families' histories, restitution for their losses in the Holocaust, and the postwar interests of Ludolf and Ruth Heidecker, among other subjects. The collection includes extensive correspondence and photographs, material relating to Ludolf Heidecker's role in soccer associations, cookbooks and recipes, family trees, newspaper clippings, official documents, and other personal papers.
Max Michelson Family Collection
The Max Michelson Family Collection documents the life of a Latvian Jewish family living in Riga. The main subjects of the collection are correspondence between family members, who moved abroad and those who stayed in Riga and some family pictures. The collection consists of letters, genealogical information and photographs. Languages: The collection is in German, Russian and English.
Sternheim and Isenberg Family Collection
This collection contains documentation on the lives of members of the Sternheim, Isenberg and Osterberg families. Prominent topics include family members' experiences in Germany during the 1930s and 1940s, genealogy and the writing of Max Osterberg and Hans Sternheim. The collection includes correspondence, clippings, manuscripts, family trees, notebooks, financial papers and some photographs.
Susi Friedmann Kirsch Family Collection
This collection contains the papers of Susanne (Susi) Friedmann-Kirsch (1926-), documenting her family’s history in Austria, Eastern Europe, and Israel, from the mid 1800s to the 2000s. The collection mostly holds vital documents and genealogical materials, including family trees, photographs, correspondence, family narratives, diaries, and other writings.
Wilmersdoerffer/Wilmers Family Collection
The Wilmersdoerffer/Wilmers Family collection pertains to the family of the twins John Geoffrey Wilmers (né Hans Max Wilmersdoerffer) and Marianne Gourary (née Wilmersdoerffer), who were born in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, in 1920, and eventually emigrated to England and the United States, respectively. The collection contains a small amount of family papers, three family trees, and a few secondary materials containing biographical information pertaining to family members. Families mentioned in the family trees (originating in Bavaria and, in part in Württemberg) include: Wilmersdoerffer (Wilmers); Oberndoerffer; Haymann; Schimmelburg; and Nauheim (Norland).
