Biographical / Historical
Originally organized in New York in 1904 by immigrants from Kolomyya (Polish: Kolomyja), Ukraine, for the purpose of founding a synagogue. Also called Tsvishn (Among) Kolomear Young Friends. Formed the United Kolomear Relief during World War I and the Refugee Committee during World War II.
