Scope and Contents
Some items pertain to Mark Arnstein's Polish-language translations/adaptations and stagings of Yiddish plays, including H. Leivick's "Goylem" and Jacob Gordin's "Mirele Efros" and "Got, mensth un tayvl"; includes a handwritten draft or copy of an article about Arnstein's being invited to direct a Polish production of his "Viliner balebesl" at a municipal theater. One item is an article by Sh. Y. Dorfzon (Shmuel-Yankev Harendorf), about Goldfaden's "Shulamis" on the Hungarian stage. Also includes original labels for YIVO Vilna no. A469 ("Yidishe forshtelungen af fremde shprakhn"). In Yiddish and Polish.
