The collection includes the family trees of the Biers, Hackenbrochs and Wertheimbers as well as the correspondence between Nathaniel M. Bier and Jewish associations in Frankfurt am Main. There is also material about Jewish schools in Frankfurt, which documents the social commitment of the family.

Biographical Note

Nathaniel Bier was a member of the Council of the Thora Study College (Thora-Lehranstalt Jeshiva) in Frankfurt since 1920. He also participated in the administration of the Jewish Bread Distribution Association (Israelitischer Brotverteilungsverein) .
