Biographical Note

Siegfried Fehl was born in Nikolsburg, Austria-Hungary (now Mikulov in the Czech Republic), on January 1, 1869. He studied dentistry at the University of Vienna, receiving his doctorate in 1895, and practiced in Vienna until his immigration to the United States in 1938. He died in Yonkers, New York, on July 26, 1955.

Photographs of Rabbi David Feuchtwang’s office and his funeral, 1936 in Vienna, were taken by Fritz Fehl; they have been removed to the LBI Photograph Collection, together with portraits of Siegfried Fehl.
