Scope and Content Note

The collection contains two handwritten theater plays (58 and 43 pages, respectively), as well as the typed copy of a 16 page essay by Antoinette von Kahler. Also included is the typescript of a lecture by Jeffrey B. Berlin (34 pages) on the relationship of Antoinette von Kahler and the writer Hermann Broch, seen through their unpublished correspondence, and through her correspondence with Richard Beer-Hofmann, Albert Einstein and Thomas Mann. The collection closes with a printed one-page obituary by Hermann Broch in German and English.
