Biographical Note
Dr. Alice Muehsam was assisted by AAUW 's War Relief Fund in the 1940s, as she was furthering her education and retraining in art restoration in New York; she received guidance and funds from AAUW over a period of two years.
The War Relief Fund at AAUW, the American Association of University Women, was established to assist displaced university women during World War II.
