Commemorating Kristallnacht and Jewish musicians
Scope and Content Note
In its core this collection of newspaper clippings and other published materials is devoted to commemorations of Kristallnacht in Frankfurt/Main in 1990. These commemorations were specifically “Jüdische Kulturwochen” and “Friedens- und Gedenkwochen”; an exhibition in Frankfurt’s Jüdisches Museum “Vergessene Nachbarn”; and an exhibition in the Frankfurt Paulskirche "Juedische Musikerinnen und Musiker in Frankfurt 1933-1942" prepared by Joachim Martini and Judith Freise. There also was a concert in connection with the exhibition at the Paulskirche, "Sog nit kejnmol…"
Also included are published materials and clippings pertaining to similar events in Frankfurt/Main in 1991, as well as in other places 1991-1994.
