Lazarus Bauer was born 1873 and died on August 25, 1930 in Koenigheim, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. He was a merchant and the owner of the company Lazarus Gross II, which he inherited from his father-in-law Lazarus Gross. Lazarus Bauer married Meta Gross (born in 1881) in the early 20th century. One of their children was Werner Bauer, who was born in 1920. Approximately 13 years after Lazarus Bauer's death, Meta left Germany and immigrated to the United States with the help of her brother Max Gross. She lived in New York.
