Vital records and other personal documents and certificates pertaining to Josef Dahl and his wife Frieda née Frank. Also included are school-, military-, and financial papers of Frieda’s father Hermann Frank, in addition to 3 marriage certificates for members of the Frank and Dahl families: Hermann Frank and Philippina Kahn, 1885; Bertha Blum and Nathan Kahn, 1892; and Josef Dahl and Frieda Kahn, 1919.

Biographical Note

Josef (Joseph; Joe) Dahl was born 1888 in Germany; he immigrated to New Jersey. His wife Frieda née Kahn was born 1890. - Hermann Frank, born 1849, was Frieda Dahl’s father.

Hilde Moses, née Dahl was Josef and Frieda Dahl’s daughter.

The paper collection also holds clippings and brochures about Jews in Beuel and in the Rhineland; a genealogy of the Dahl family from Beuel; and an ID for Frieda Dahl.
