Kissingen Jewish Community Collection
Scope and Content Note
The first folder contains transcribed excerpts from Bad Kissingen city council meeting minutes pertinent to Jewish affairs for the years 1666-1885. These transcriptions were prepared by K. Fuchs in 1948-1949.
The second folder consists of original correspondence and documents concerning Hartwig Heymann's service with the Red Cross and fire department, as well as a circular from 1919 on the sanatorium from the administration of the Israelitische Kurhospiz Bad Kissingen. There are photocopies of an 1899 Bavarian citizenship document, an 1893 program for a Purim celebration, materials on the gravesite of a fallen Jewish soldier, and clippings related to the history of Bad Kissingen. Also included is the typewritten speech "Begründungs-Geschichte (1899-1905) der israelitischen Kinderheilstätte in Bad Kissingen" delievered on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the sanitorium for children in 1936.
