Various published and archival materials pertaining to the textile company F.V. (Frank Valentin) Grünfeld, focusing primarily on its consecutive owners, Ludwig Grünfeld, Heinrich Grünfeld and Fritz Grünfeld. Included are official certificates, business correspondence, photographs, advertisements, catalogues, bills, clippings etc. Also included are materials about the company during the Nazi era and its eventual "Aryanization".

Biographical Note

Falk Valentin Grünfeld (1837-1897) was the son of a Silesian family of textile manufacturers and retailers. He established a major retail company in Berlin. Consecutive owners were his heirs, Ludwig Grünfeld (1864-1929) and Heinrich Grünfeld (1865-1936), who had to navigate through the company’s expropriation under the Nazis.
