Scope and Content Note
Two edited typescripts by Dr. Emil Sander tell about his family and particularly about his parents, Uri and Helene. The text mentions details from the family tree, reaching back to 1773.
Also included is a letter from “Johanna u. Selma” to Erna née Lieberg, Emil Sander’s wife, offering facts from her family tree. The letter’s transcript is accompanied by an English translation by Ulf Cahn von Seelen.

Biographical Note
Emil Sander’s father was born in Darmstadt, where the family owned a store for manufactured goods. Emil Sander’s mother, née Levi, came from Rexingen.
