Scope and Content Note
Folder 1 contains a typescript by Wilhelm Rest, „Einwohnermelderegister der Statdt Volkmarsen : Auszug über die Einwohner mos. Glaubens 1853-1942“, Volkmarsen, 1986, 23 pages. The manuscript lists Jews in the town of Volkmarsen, based on incomplete public records from 1853 to 1942.
Folder 2 holds documentation (clippings, photographs, notes) by Carol Davidson Baird, nominating Ernst and Brigitte Klein from Volkmarsen to receive the Obermayer German Jewish History Award 2008. The couple worked among the population of Volkmarsen and Voehl to remember former Jewish residents.
