Biographical Note

Leon Benjamin de Levi Franco was born 1902 in Turkey. After an extended sojourn in Vienna, he immigrated to the United States in 1918.

Moshe Franco was born 1838 in Rishon L’Tzion and died 1917 in Jerusalem.

Adolf Abraham Josefsthal was born 1864 in Klasno Poland and died 1926 in Vienna, Austria. He served as a major in the Austrian Army.

Two photographs of Major Josefsthal have been removed to the LBI Photograph collection.
