Biographical Note
The philosopher Arthur Liebert (1878-1946) was born and educated in Berlin, where he lived until he was forced to leave at the age of 65 in 1933. He taught at the University of Belgrade, but in 1939 he felt it was better to leave Yugoslavia. He emigrated to Birmingham, England where he stayed until the end of the war. After 13 years of emigration he returned to Berlin in 1946.
