Scope and Content Note
Manuscripts on this history of the Jewish community in Mühlhausen and a few other localities near Bamberg. Several of the manuscripts contain reproductions and transcriptions of original documents.
Specific topics covered include a discussion and excerpts of the Judenmatrikel and other government documents concerning the Jewish community, as well as discussions of prominent institutions like the religious school and the synagogue. The longest manuscript concerns the history of the Blumenthal family, who resided in Mühlhausen from the mid-19th century through 1939.
