Scope and Content Note

Folder 1 holds a 54 page typescript (photocopy), ‘Die Familie Kohn aus Wassertruedingen’ by Hans Kohn, Paris, 1938. Also included is an off-print "Die ahhängige Erfindung im Patentrecht Österreichs, Deutschlands und der USA" by Richard Reik in: Festschrift zum 50jährigen Bestand des Österreichischen Patentamtes, undated.

Folder 2 holds a 39 page typescript containing primarily an inventory of the Joseph Hans Bunzel Collection at the New York State University at Buffalo. The typescript also holds biographical and bibliographical information on Professor Bunzel; 1977.

Folder 3 has a copy of a 45 page typescript, ‚Die Geschichte der Familien Bunzel und Frankel in Böhmen‘ by Ernst Holländer, 1935.

Biographical Note

Joseph Hans Bunzel (1907-1975) was born in Graz, Austria. He studied sociology and psychology at universities in Vienna, Paris, and in Buffalo, immigrating to the U.S. in 1939. He taught sociology at the University of Michigan and at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
