Scope and Content Note

This collection contains a wide range of personal and family papers of the Jacobi, Kornik, and Mosse families of Posen and Berlin, as well as extensive family trees for the Jacobi and Wolff families.

The first folder contains a variety of papers spanning approximately 100 years concerning various members of the Jacobi family. Included are naturalization papers for Benjamin Kornik (Posen, 1836 and 1839), family and personal papers for individuals in the Jacobi and Mosse families, and a few of Paul Jacobi's papers, including a certificate of military service and a notification of forced retirement (October 1933.)

In the second folder are various family trees authored and compiled by Paul Jacobi in Berlin during the 1930s. The trees are handwritten and focus on the Jacobi, Silberberg, and Wolff families with entries from . By far the largest of the trees is the Wolff family tree, which traces the family line to Gabriel Wolff of Unruhstadt.
