The Erna Klein Collection consists of six handwritten notebooks, including two friendship albums, three cookbooks and a handwritten exegesis, with a dedication by Rabbi Dr. Freudenthal, all belonging to Erna Klein.

Biographical Note
Rudolf Bauer (1896-1975) and Erna née Klein (1907-1999) were the parents of Bernard Bauer. Rabbi Dr. Max Freudenthal (1868-1937) was the head of the liberal congregation in Nuremberg from 1907-1934.
