Biographical / Historical

Hans Capell was born 1908 in Dueren (Germany). After studying law, he worked for Keren Kajemet LeIsrael, first in Germany and then – after "Kristallnacht" - in London, where he was instrumental in several Zionist organizations. He immigrated with his family to Israel in 1951.

Blau-Weiss was a Zionist youth movement founded in Germany and Austria in 1912. It organized youth group outings and gatherings which stressed the appreciation of nature, scouting, and self-dependence.
