Biographical / Historical
Alfred Philipp was a rabbi and a scholar who worked in Berlin, Oppeln and Elberfeld. He edited the periodicals “Der Jugendbund” published by “Verband der Jüdischen Jugendvereine Deutschlands” in Düsseldorf from 1925 to 1932; as well as “Jüdisches Gemeindeblatt für das Bergische Land. Amtlicher Anzeiger der Synagogengemeinde Elberfeld,” published in Kassel from 1929 to 1933(?). Philipp emigrated to Palestine In 1938 or 1939.
