Biographical Note

Yehuda Bacon was born in 1929 in Moravska Ostrava, then Czechoslovakia. At age thirteen he was deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto and then on to the Auschwitz concentration camp. In 1946 he emigrated to Palestine with the help of Youth Aliyah. He studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, where he became a professor of graphic and drawing in 1959.
