Scope and Content Note
Various documents pertaining to Jewish families in Hesse, Germany.
Folder 1 contains tax and other official documents pertaining to Abraham Stern in the town of Salmuenster in Hesse, Germany; 1846-1853. Folder 2 contains ‘Aus den Gebeten Israels’, a private printing by Siegfried Guggenheim, dedicated to Max Dienemann, rabbi in Offenbach. Also included are 2 typed notes about the history of the Jewish community in Offenbach, as well as a handwritten note [by Siegfried Guggenheim] about Kristallnacht in Offenbach and Rabbi Max Dienemann.
