Scope and Content Note
The collection consists primarily of German publications by Dr. Kurt M. Dresel during the interwar period.
Folder one contains a document regarding medical service in WWII from American authorities, family tree for the Philip Bach family and a certificate for Samuel Hirsch Friedlaender certifying his adoption of the name Friedlaender and Prussian citizenship. The other 2 folders contain numerous publications in medical journals, mostly dealing with the nervous system.

Biographical Note
Kurt Dresel was born in 1892 in Berlin. He became a physican and professor and wrote prolifically. Together with his wife Mathilde and son Peter he emigrated to the United States in 1938 and died in New York in 1951.
