Abstract
Original documents from France pertaining to her Jewish population during World War I; the inter-war period; and the time of German occupation during World War II. Most documents originated with the Comité français d’information et d’action auprès des Juif des pays neutres and with the Alliance Israélite Universelle.

Biographical Note
The Comité français d’information et d’action auprès des Juif des pays neutres was a French action committee during World War I, designed to counterbalance German propaganda in neutral countries.
Alliance Israélite Universelle was a roof organization for the largest Jewish organizations worldwide.
