George Arnstein Collection
Scope and Content Note
This collection contains two longer family history manuscripts, as well as some translations of early 20th century research on German-Jewish genealogy and various other materials compiled by George Arnstein for his family research endeavors.
The two longer manuscripts present their findings both in narrative and in the form of genealogical tables. The manuscripts track the various branches of Arnstein's ancestors in Southern Germany, especially in the Swabia and Black Forest region, as well as in Hohenems and Vorarlberg.

A note in folder 5 indicates that George Arnstein is descended from Seckel Arnstein, director of the noted Hebrew publishing house in Sulzbach, Bavaria.
