Egon Loewe Collection

 Collection
Identifier: AR 3738

Scope and Content Note

Letters, telegrams, postcards from sent by Egon Loewe from the front in Belgium to family members in Germany.

The letters are primarily to his sister "Sonnchen" Oliven and her husband in Berlin, who was the director of the firm Ludw. Loewe & Co., a notable munitions and weapons manufacturer. Based on the return address listed on the envelopes, it appears that Loewe was deployed in the Sanitäts-Kraftwagen-Abteilung 4, a paramedic division.
