 Collection
Identifier: AR 6315

Scope and Content Note

The collection contains various documents related to the Julius Herz, a goldsmith, and his family.

Folders 1 and 2 contain original documents of Herz, such as legal and identification documents and permission to produce gold and silver items, and admission to the goldsmith's guild. There is also an 1812 Schutzbrief for Liebmann Jacob in Schierstein. The family trees in folder 3 are photocopies and sometimes difficult to read. The original tree appears to have been prepared prior to World War II but some names were added in the 1950s.
