Neuburger-Hessberg Family Collection
Scope and Content Note
The official documents, correspondence, photographs, and genealogical tables in this collection provide insight into the German-Jewish heritage of the Neuburger-Hessberg family.
Series I comprises official documents, letters, and postcards primarily pertaining to the Neuburger family in the 19th century. Series II consists of family photographs, which document the ancestry of the Neuburger family visually as well as the town from which their ancestor, Samuel Hirsch Neuburger, originated: Bad Buchau. Series III contains genealogy and family trees, which document the Neuburger-Hessberg family lineage. Erwin Neuburger's ancestry can be traced back to Samuel Hirsch Neuburger of Bad Buchau, Biberach, Germany, through this collection. This collection also traces the ancestry of the Hessberg family through Erwin's marriage to Corinne Neuburger, née Hessberg.
