Identifier: AR 25151

Scope and Content Note

The Friedrich R. Wollmershaeuser Collection contains lists compiled by Friedrich R. Wollmershaeuser with archival material in the State Archives in Augsburg, Bamberg, and Sigmaringen. Listed here are documents about Jews before the 1800s in the towns of Haigerloch, Uehlfeld, Illereichen, and Kairlindach. In the first folder are records from the archives at Augsburg. These contain lists that show mentions of Jews in contract registers from the dominion of Illereichen. There are also translations with accompanying photocopies of a few court proceedings that involve Jews, and listings of Jewish revenues from Illereichen. In the second folder are lists of records and a bound volume with brief descriptions of pertinent administration entries from the Uehlfeld and Dachsbach districts. The volume also includes biographical and genealogical notes on the Männlein families of Uehlfeld. The final folder contains a bound volume with a list of court proceedings regarding Jews in Haigerloch before 1800 from the State Archive of Sigmaringen; most records pertain to financial matters.
