Biographical Note

Abraham Jakob Hammerschlag, born September 17, 1835 in Rehburg, Prussia. He worked as a butcher in Lage (Lippe) and became a citizen of Lippe in 1901 together with his son Sally Hammerschlag (born Sptember 3, 1869 in Rehburg). Sally emigrated to New York and died there in 1941.

Sally's daughter Hilde married Norbert Pollack. Their daughter Ruth was born in New York in 1945.
