Biographical Note
Born in Beuthen (now Bytom, Poland) on September 3, 1879, Adolf Kober received his doctorate at the University of Breslau in 1903 and his rabbinical ordination from the Juedisch Theologisches Seminar, Breslau, in 1907. He was a rabbi in Wiesbaden from 1908 to 1918 and in Cologne from 1918 to 1939. In 1939 he emigrated to the United States and died in New York City on December 30, 1958.
