Scope and Content Note
The Lore Fritsche Kornberg Collection holds papers from members of the Lichtwitz and Kornberg families. Included are poems, correspondence, official and vital documents for various individuals, photographs, and some genealogical material.
Papers relating to the Lichtwitz family are located in Series I. These include occasional poems written by Franziska, Charlotte and Otto for their parents Manfred and Anna as well as family correspondence. Several letters were from Manfred and Anna to their children. Some official and legal documents of Manfred Lichtwitz and his granddaughter Lore Fritsche are also present, as well as some of Lore Fritsche's school papers.
Papers of the Kornberg family are in Series II. Much of this series consists of the official, school or military papers of several family members. Information on restitution and one document regarding genealogy will also be found here.
The final series primarily holds photographs of the family, especially of the Lichtwitz side, including more distant cousins and unidentified individuals. Some genealogical notes are here as well.
