Scope and Content Note

Dieler's maunscript contains historical information on the Jewish community in Duisburg and lists of Jewish community members, organization, neighborhoods, and occupations in Duisburg (1933-1945). The final chapter contains discussions of the fates of a few individual community members. The report in folder 2 on Jewish epitaphs in Duisburg was prepared by students from the 11th grade of the St. Hildegardis-Gymnasium participating in a 1984 competition by the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung.

Among the individuals discussed in this collection are: Jakob Ullmer (1858-1898), Selma (1893-1937) and Hermann (1888-1938) Gutmann.
