Sidney Golub Collection

 Collection
Identifier: AR 10617

Scope and Content Note

The collection comprises various material related to the Marienthal and Oppenheimer families. The recipes in folder 2 include several war-time recipes.

In the photo album are several candid snapshots of German soldiers on what appears to be the Eastern front during the first World War. The pictures are almost uniformly lighthearted, as they depict the soldiers in leisure-time activity in the countryside and in small rural villages. The other materials in the collection include a relatively large handwritten recipe book dated 1892, but with several loose recipes dated up until the 1930s interleaved. The final folder contains a typewritten family tree and photocopies of dedications inside the prayer books which have been removed to the LBI Library collection.
