Scope and Content Note
The collection contains various letters, deeds, and certificates related to Simon Anker.
Included are 2 "open letters" (typed, in Yiddish with Latin characters) from Mendel Markus in Danzig to his friend Isaac Moses Hirsch in Berlin (1848?) and other deeds and certificates of Simon Anker. There is also a thank you letter from the Danzig Jewish community upon Anker's resignation, an anti-Semitic clipping regarding Anker and an anniversary publication for a Danzig grain wholesaler.
