Scope and Contents
Series I holds biographical information about Alfred Karger and materials concerning his stepdaughter Lilli Guggenheim. Folder 1 contains a biographical text on Alfred Karger, a listing of his books and two obituaries on him, including one special print of Rabels Zeitschrift fuer auslaendisches und internationals Privatrecht (Rabel's Journal for Foreign and International Civil Law). Several other writings in this folder are German copies and undated English translations of Alfred Karger's articles. Included are mostly biographical texts about other people which frequently deal with his experiences in Berlin. Folder 2 holds a bound periodical volume of the monthly magazine Psyche. Schweiz. Monatsschrift fuer Psychologie, Heilpaedagogik, Graphologie (Psyche. Switzerland. Monthly Journal for Psychology, Therapeutic Pedagogy, Graphology) from January 1935 till June 1936, including several articles of Lilli Guggenheim. Another article embodies some biographical information. It was quoted 2003 in a book called Lernbehindedertenpaedagogik (Didactic Disabled Pedagogy), edited by Sieglind Eller-Ruettgardt.
